Logging trucks everywhere! We feel like they are chasing us ( like that horror film with Dennis Weaver ).

Stunning Beauty!
Got up and drove down the street for Norm’s 9:30 tee time. I decided to try to walk the course and take pictures. The course ran along a bay and inlet. Very nice and the day was perfect. Norman is still struggling with shoulder and back pain which is affecting his golf, and I struggled to breath, and each step was a stab of pain. What a pair. We debate which was worse. After 8 holes we passed the Campervan, so I decided to go take a nap, and after 11 holes Norman checked the sky and his scorecard, and came back to the camper. As soon as he came in the skies opened up and while we ate lunch the sky cleared so we headed south early.
The scenery was gorgeous! Check out the photos. Reminded us of a cross between the Caribbean with the turquoise water and vegetation, and the rough Maine coastline.
After a grueling drive dodging the huge logging trucks, we desperately pulled into a little bay that was in the middle of a fishing tournament. Guys were happily carrying their spearfish, mahi mahi and we saw a hugh marlin that was a foot longer than the width of the boat. There were so many rowdy guys hanging out at this lodging site, we moved on.
A little down the road we came to another camping site which was amazingly dumpy. Many fisherman were there, and we met several nice folks- one was a 20 something hitch-hiker that Norman offered a ride south the next day. He came over for a beer and told us of some great places we didn’t know about in the south Island.
